Dr. Matthew Silver, CEO of Cambrian Innovation, participated in the Cleantech Open East Coast Academy’s “Unique Challenges – Business Models” panel this morning. Dr. Silver weighed in on the capital implications of various business models, including time to market and funders to target. His experiences while founding Cambrian Innovation provided insight into different approaches to raising funds and bringing clean technology products to the market. The panel also featured prominent experts Geoff Chapin of Next Step Living, Jim Matheson of Flagship Ventures and Paul McManus of the BU School of Management.
The East Coast Academy is a two day event for Cleantech Open’s semifinalists, as well as industry and community experts. The event offers a variety of workshops and guest speakers addressing the issues and challenges that cleantech startups may face.
